Fire Dmg Poe
This page on PoE Wikipedia says. The burning damage over time is 40% of the base damage of the hit of fire damage, per second. Righteous Fire does not hit, but its burning damage per second is still increased by 40% of the base fire damage a character would deal. Therefore both modifiers have the same effect. Only real reson to convert to Chaos was Reflect. With Totems this point makes no sense, as you dont get kileld by reflect anyway. Apeps is a whle diffrent story, it has very high castspeed and added damage to spells, which was really special befor 2.0. Now you will get the same result with a high castspeed + added fire to spells rare wand. Should really have buffed up Apeps by alot. Poe.trade can automatically generate your search based on an item. Righteous Fire Juggernaut is one of the most popular Righteous Fire builds out there. Juggernaut provides very Damage Mitigation and Life Regeneration from nine Endurance Charges and Ascendancy Passives. It's a very tanky and durable build, which is very popular for Uber Lab farming thanks to the insane Regen. and Physical Damage Reduction. This Righteous Fire Juggernaut can do all content, however, he single-target DPS makes the end-game fights a bit longer.
For the full list of our Path of Exile builds you can check Odealo's Crafty Guides - Full List
1. Gameplay
Righteous Fire is a very unique Spell which rapidly burns you and all nearby enemies. Righteous Fire deals very high Fire Damage over Time which is based on your maximum Life. Tanky Marauder characters are one of the best for this type of builds, with high Life and Life Renegeration allowing you to sustain very high self-damage even during end-game encounters. This build provides few thousand Life Regenerated per second even with Righteous Fire enabled making it an extremely tanky and durable build. And because of the Righteous Fire mechanic, it has very high DPS even on a character that does not directly benefit from Spell Damage Passives.

3. Leveling tips
This build is best to be leveled up with a combination of Flame and Searing Bond Totems. It is not the fastest character to level-up, but because of very good defenses, you should have no problems progressing in the campaign mode. It's just not going to be as fast a ranged or spell-caster build. There are several cheap and powerful unique items which grant very high bonus Burning Damage and should be acquired as soon as possible.
Suggested leveling Gem setups:

Let's get down to the most interesting part of this build. We have decided to list only the best gear, as most of the previously mentioned Skill Gems are specifically set up for Kaom's Heart and Elder Helmet variation. You can as well play it with regular Rare items without the extra Support Gems, but this build will lack a lot of speed.

- Provide 8,000 Life and 3,000 Life Regeneration per second
- Cap your Elemental Resistances
- Allow efficient Map and Uber Lab farming

I like it when games put all the info I need into the game proper. I'm sure I could search these forums and find out the answer to the question I'm about to ask, but don't you all agree it would be nicer if it was in game? So I found gloves that 'Add 5-9 cold damage'. My question: to what? Melee attacks? Any weapon attacks? Any skills? There should be space enough in the tooltip to specify! Last bumped on Aug 20, 2016, 1:34:56 PM | Posted by DanielZKlein on May 7, 2012, 4:45:45 AM |
All added damage on gear are added to attacks (skill with attack time). I agree that they should be more clear on that one. It was exactly like that in D2 too Unviable build tester. Fuse mechanics: http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/21503 95% Crit Build Without Charges [0.10.1c]: http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/172438 | Posted by Progammer on May 7, 2012, 6:28:24 AM |
If you are using a lightning spell you get the 5-9 cold damage from the gloves, right? So is it possible for you to freeze/chill someone with only this 5-9 cold damage? | Posted by ivkoto77777 on Oct 14, 2012, 7:36:23 PM |
' if you crit, it should be afaik. I burn shit with 1-3 fire dmg ^^ 'Path of Exile be a online Action RPG set up in tha dark fantasy ghetto of Wraeclast. Well shiiiit..' - Uzicorn, for teh children. | Posted by Ludak021 on Oct 14, 2012, 7:41:49 PM |
the 'x damage' on equipements is applied only to attacks, not to spells(dunno why). Only the one on support gems is applied on the spells they support. | Posted by on Oct 14, 2012, 8:29:00 PM |
I'd say integer damage bonuses on gear applying to attacks (i.e. unarmed, melee or something that shoots projectiles) and not spells is fairly standard behaviour in any aRPG. Granted, you can never be sure with this game, but adding 'to attacks' after every mod of that kind is an ugly solution for something that should be intuitive. Besides, it's easy enough to test something like this by taking off and putting on your gloves :) Last edited by hubb on Oct 14, 2012, 9:19:38 PM | Posted by on Oct 14, 2012, 9:07:01 PM |
If the item says. Increases cold damage by 3% (or something like that) that works for spells also right.? General Racing Guide for Act 1 http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/366585 | Posted by Powster on Oct 14, 2012, 9:13:42 PM |
Yes. That might seem less obvious but like I said you can equip it to check. That's what I do. | Posted by on Oct 14, 2012, 9:21:13 PM |
' So then the question is: 'Does this added cold damage support gem make up for the lack of cold spells in my fire witch's arsenal?'. We all know how powerful the freeze/chill effects are. If I can add them effects to my fire spells, then I'd be almost as good as a cold witch. Last edited by ivkoto77777 on Oct 14, 2012, 9:26:58 PM | Posted by ivkoto77777 on Oct 14, 2012, 9:26:30 PM |
' Pretty much. I added lightning damage to my freezing pulse, and every time I crit, I add a shock stack to my enemies. Shit is fun. 'Minions of your minions are your minion's minions, not your minions.' - Mark | Posted by on Oct 15, 2012, 2:32:39 AM |
