The 2 attack Gears in this build are both AoE attacks with multiple charges, enabling large area of suppression. Ice Storm will freeze and prime enemies for detonation, and fully charged Burning Orb will detonate and spread the priming to other nearby targets.
- Impact is direct damage while blast is AoE but melee abilities (particularly Colossus) are impact AoE. I theorize that blast sets off combos in the area and the Colossus' combo is blast but that's untested speculation on my part because the Interceptor couldn't combo in the demo with Aura up so trying to melee a group to set off multiple combos didn't work.
- It’s delivered in a couple ways, namely Impact and Blast. Impact is direct damage, such as primary weapons and guns of all kinds, except the Grenade Launchers. Blast is explosive, or AOE damage. You’ll see%Impact and%Blast buffs on equipment, so it’s worth knowing that these are buffing your damage directly (depending on what you are using).

Close Range Brawler Build
What Is Blast Dmg Anthem Song
This powerful build utilizes Colossus' Flamethrower and Lightning Coil to chain & burn through lesser enemies and even the tougher shielded / armored enemies. The close range combat compliments Colossus' need to grab health pack drops from fallen enemies, but will be suspected to enemy aggro. Reinforcing the armor of the Javelin is a must.

The 2 attack Gears in this build are both meant for close range engagements. The Lightning Coil has a unique feature and are able to be used while using your shields. Use Shield Pulse to boost your defense and get close to your enemy while shielding. Engage your Lightning Coil with the shield up, then start toasting your targets with your Flamethrower for devastating combos.

Due to the nature of this build, these components are aimed to compliment to boost the damage output of your Gears as well as reinforcing the damage sustainability of your Colossus. The Overclocked Regulator and Guardian Insignia is a great tool to have to use in this aggro-taking brawler build.
Fire / Railgun Mid Range Build
This build focuses on dealing with groups of enemies from mid range with the Firewall Mortar's area-of-denial, as well as opening the enemies up for finishing blow with the powerful Railgun. This build will provide great sustained damage and some breathing space, but will have a few moment of cooldown, and require you to rely on your guns more.

When engaging, use the Firewall Mortar to burn and prime your targets along with with excellent DoT damage, then follow up with your charged Railgun to detonate your targets with blast damage. It would be recommended you try to aim for the tougher targets of the primed group with the Railgun to maximise its Armor Piercing effect.
